Sometimes a well-designed space is one that doesn’t feel that it was designed at all.
Located on the outskirts of Lake Wallenpaupack in northeast Pennsylvania, this cabin renovation project involved the transformation of the entire site. With the intent to preserve and enhance the inherent amenities of the site, deer resistant native plantings, a meadow, rain gardens and bioswales, and natural pathways highlight a landscape in which the distinction between planned and natural areas is subtle and one in which the house feels immersed.
